34,000 in the UK; 4,600 in Malaysia; 6,100 in China Global Top 100 University Campuses in UK, Malaysia and China and examiners appointed to programmes taught on more than one campus are asked to provide a judgment on the comparability of quality and standards of provision and performance across all campuses Nearly 47,000 students 34,000 in the UK; 4,600 in Malaysia; 6,100 in China Well over 600 taught programmes, and approximately 570 External Examiners appointed annually

Five Faculties 23 Schools Global Top 100 University Five Faculties 23 Schools Quality assurance is the responsibility of Teaching and Learning Board (TLB), a committee of the University Senate TLB devolves most of this responsibility to Quality and Standards Committee, which handles appointments of examiners and consideration of their reports at University level

How are your reports handled? Global Top 100 University How are your reports handled? Quality and Standards Committee considers all reports and responses made by Schools annually as part of the University’s Annual Monitoring Exercise; if any serious issues arise, these are flagged to Teaching and Learning Board for action.

Confidential reports to the head of institution Global Top 100 University Confidential reports to the head of institution Indicator 17 Institutions inform external examiners, in writing at the beginning of their term of office, that they have a right to raise any matter of serious concern with the head of the institution, if necessary by means of a separate confidential written report. Institutions provide a considered and timely response to any confidential report received, outlining any actions they will be taking as a result. (QAA Quality Code, Chapter B7)
