Bellwork: August 16th 1) Copy your assignments in your agenda. 2) In your composition notebook, start writing the Math Word Wall words & definitions on page 5. Ratio – to compare two quantities.   Rate – compares the first quantity in a ratio to only one of the second quantity. Unit Rate – the number in a rate that is being compared to 1.

Bellwork: August 17th 1) Copy your assignments in your agenda. 2) In your composition notebook, add the following definitions. Equivalent Ratios - two or more ratios that are equal to one another Ordered Pair – a pair of numbers that locate a point on a coordinate grid.   Corresponding Terms - numbers that are in the same place in two or more related patterns.

Bellwork: August 18th 1) Copy your assignments in your agenda. 2) In your composition notebook, add the following definitions.  Unit Fraction - a fraction with a numerator of 1 Partial Quotient - a strategy used to divide multi-digit numbers. The quotients you get in each step are called “partial quotients”.

Bellwork: August 19th 1) Copy your assignments in your agenda. 2) In your composition notebook, add the following definitions. Multiplicative Inverse - a number is the multiplicative inverse of another number if their product is 1.   Reciprocal – the multiplicative inverse of a number; with fraction, the numerator and denominator are switched.
