BOOK WEEK 2017 How to get involved

Keep track of your reading by colouring in or shading the fruit. Reading Challenge We’re challenging EVERYONE in the school to read for at least 2 hours during BOOK WEEK. Keep track of your reading by colouring in or shading the fruit.

Create Book Smoothies title of book and author fruit book cover During Book Week staff and some pupils will be wearing book badges. Each badge contains a picture of a book and a piece of fruit. All you need to do is find three different fruits and write down the name of the three books to make a Book Smoothie. You can enter as many different smoothies as you like. All S1 pupils can get a form from their Tutor. S2-6 pupils can pick up a form from the School Library

Pick up a sponsor sheet from the School Library. Sponsored Read Pick up a sponsor sheet from the School Library.

Tutor Competitions Enter one or both of the Tutor Group competitions to win a prize for your Tutor Group.

Blurbie Competition Ask your Tutor for a Blurbie competition form or pick one up from the School Library. You can dress Blurbie as any character from a book but there will be a special prize for the best design relating to this year’s theme of

Book Tasting at Lunchtime Come to the School Library any lunchtime during BOOK WEEK and take part in our BOOK TASTING. Sample the many different genres the School Library has to offer. We’re sure you’ll find something to your taste.

All completed lollies will be entered into a prize draw. Book Recommendations Pick up a book lolly at the School Library and make a book recommendation. All completed lollies will be entered into a prize draw.
