Intermolecular Forces Intermolecular forces are attractions that bring particles together. Not exactly a Bond… just an attraction.

Intermolecular Forces Three Kinds… Dispersion Forces Dipole-Dipole Forces Hydrogen Bonds

Weak forces that come from electrons when they are unbalanced. Dispersion Forces Weak forces that come from electrons when they are unbalanced.

Attraction between oppositely charged ends of different molecules. Dipole-Dipole Forces Attraction between oppositely charged ends of different molecules.

(a form of dipole-dipole bond) Hydrogen Bonds (a form of dipole-dipole bond) A hydrogen atom on one molecule being attracted to a lone pair of electrons on another atom.
