Horseplay, unnecessary chatter, or any failure to follow instructions/procedures during an emergency may result in injury to you or your classmates. You are expected to conduct yourselves during drills in EXACTLY the same manner as if the emergency were real.

Fire Alarm (or Drill) DO NOT RUN. Exit through the BACK doors in an orderly fashion. Walk calmly to our assembly area – across the lawn to the corner of the lawn & parking lot. Remain standing and quiet Listen & respond to the roll call Stay in place and follow instructions.

Severe Weather (or Drill) DO NOT RUN. Proceed in an orderly fashion to the entry hallway of the lab. Sit with your back against the wall, legs crossed (“Indian style” or knees pulled up to chest). Put your head down and cover your head with your arms. Remain quiet for further instructions.

Lockdown IMMEDIATE SILENCE! Person NEAREST hallway door, RUN and lock the deadbolt. All others go quickly and quietly to the OFFICE. Sit on the floor and remain SILENT for further instructions. DO NOT RESPOND to any sounds outside the class or building. Lockdowns may be conducted for drill, actual threats, and/or for police searches.
