MANNERS AND FRIENDS Learning Objectives: To understand the term “good manners” and the importance of having good friends.

Unscramble the Words. Firensd Mnnares Dab Agnry Mhumamad

There are four Ahadith that have the basic rules of all good manners “Whoever believes in Allah and the last day let them speak what is good or keep quiet…”

“From the excellence of a person’s Islam, is to leave alone those things which do not concern him.” “Do not become angry.” “None of you have true faith until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”

We learn from these Ahadith that: We should only speak when we have something good to say. We should never use bad language or hurt others. We should control our anger. We should always share the things we love. We should wish the best for everyone. We should respect our parents and elders.

Remember the golden rule of good manners: “Treat people the way you like to be treated by others!”

Prophet Muhammad SAW said, “A good friend is like a person carrying musk and an evil friend is like a blacksmith. The one who is carrying musk will either give you some perfume as a present; you will buy some from him; or you will at least find a lovely smell just by staying with him.

“However, the one who is a blacksmith will either burn your clothes or just by staying with him, you will find a nasty smell.”

We learn that: We should choose good people as our friends. Good friends will have a good effect on us. We should stay away from bad people. Bad friends will have a bad effect on us.
