A humanitarian disaster in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Your brief… DR Congo has a history of civil war. There is still conflict between different groups of people including the government and tribal groups. The groups are fighting over natural resources and land. In August 2008 there was fighting between rebel tribal groups and the government, causing a large number of people to flee from their homes. There are now an estimated 250 000 displaced people living in refugee camps. © George Mulala © George Mulala
