Your Job Your Manager’s Question: If the organic matter in the formations is mature in a deep position, which formations should we consider source rock? Your Answer: X, Y, Z formations are source rocks under mature conditions. Your Action following your manager’s approval: 1. Thermal maturation modeling – find out in what depth the proposed formations are mature 2. Mapping: locate the mature source rocks, i.e. the deep locations where the proposed formations are in the depth range determined in point 1. 3. Find out reservoir rocks 4. Mapping structures where the reservoir rocks may form traps PROSPECTS
