Learning objectives Recognize that the skeletal system is dynamic especially when we are young. Bones are a store for calcium and calcium can be added or withdrawn depending on needs Distinguish between the axial and appendicular parts of the skeleton Recognize the bones of the chest, legs, and arms Recognize different types of muscle and how their functions differ. Understand how muscles work with the skeletal system to produce movement.
