beaver The Beaver is Canadas national animal. Its important to Canada because of its Significance during the fur trade. Voyagers would come from Europe to get beaver pelts from Canada, they were also used as currency.

Maple leaf On February 15th 1965, the Canadian flag , bearing the maple leaf was raised for the first time on parliament hill. Today the maple leaf is recognized as a symbol of Canada. It has also come to symbolize unity, peace and tolerance.

Justin bieber Justin Bieber was born and raised is Stratford Ontario and starting his career by posting videos of himself singing on YouTube and playing his guitar outside local coffee shops. He is now one of the most famous/well known Canadians . He is now a multi millionaire.

Lacrosse Lacrosse was declared the national game of Canada in 1859. Canada was the first country to be playing the game created by the indigenous people of Canada. Since then the sport has grown worldwide and continues to grow to this day.

The great lakes The great lakes in Ontario are some of the most well known lakes in the world. With lake michagan-huron dividing across the border being the largest lake in north America. Lake superior in Ontario is the second largest in north America, and third largest in the world. These lakes attract hundreds of thousands of tourists each year.

Mountains (whistler) Canada has a wide variety of mountain ranges and mountains. In 2010 Vancouver held the winter Olympics which were all throughout the lower mainland. Whistler/ blackcomb mountains were 2 of the beautiful destinations where these events were held. Post Olympics many from around the world have continued to visit and intake all of our country's mountains.

Tim hortons Tim Horton's is one of the largest business franchises in Canada, and continues to be Canadas #1 selling coffee branch. Tim Horton's is often stereotyped with hockey out on a pond in the winter. From downtown Toronto to the mining towns in Alberta, Tim Horton's is woven into the fabric of our country.

Terry fox Terry fox is a world wide hero known by many. at 21 he attempted to run across Canada with only one leg after having the other one amputated due to cancer. Terry lost his life during the run and ever since his heroism and legacy has lived on. He has raised millions of dollars for cancer research, as well as raising awareness worldwide.

Tommy douglas Tommy Douglas is the hero of the Canadian health system. He created Canadas health care system and ever since his legacy has lived on. He has saved millions of live with this brilliant system

Drake A multi millionaire who promotes the “6” and his home country Canada, drake has gone on to win 3 Grammys and 77 other awards, with 330 nominations in total. Drake is a world wide known artist and is well known for being Canadian.

John a. MacDonald John a. MacDonald who's is considered the founder of our country symbolizes Canada and what we stand for. He fought politely for what we believe in. he was also the first prime minister of Canada and is a dominant figure of Canadian confederation.

Moose The moose is a Canadian symbol that represents our countries native wildlife. In the parliament buildings in Ontario a bronze statue of a moose can be found. The moose can be found in every Canadian province with a range of population from 500,000 to a million.

Poutine Poutine is a Canadian dish made with French fries, gravy, and cheese curds. This dish first appeared in the 1950’s in Quebec. Poutine is now served across Canada in a wide variety of food chains and is always enjoyed by many tourists from around the word.

The Canadian flag The Canadian flag resembles our country in a whole the distinct red and white resembles our country's colors. The red and white flag was declared the national flag of Canada on February 15th 1965.
