SOCIAL SCIENCE SPEAKER SERIES STALL SEAT JOURNAL DIVISION OF SOCIAL SCIENCES  SPRING 2017  WEEK 1 NEED SPRING TERM CREDITS? SOCIAL SCIENCE SPEAKER SERIES In spring term, the social science division will be hosting the 2017 Social Science Speaker Series! The first speaker to kick off the series will be Monique A. R. Udell, Ph.D. Dr. Udell will speak on Thursday, April 6 from 3:30-5pm in Hannon Library, room 305. Her work focuses on the development of cross-species interactions and bonds in both wild and domesticated animals. In this talk she will introduce research investigating similarities and differences between domestic dogs and their wild counterparts, as well as lifetime UGS 199: Success in College & Beyond! Learn strategies to increase your success both in and out of the classroom. CRN 7300, 2 credits, R 3:30-5:20pm. UGS 299: Major & Career Exploration! Examine your strengths and passions, and utilize strategies to help you with major and career decision making! CRN 7253, 2 credits, Weeks 6-10, MW 3:30-5:20pm. UGS 299: Diversity Dialogues! Engage experientially and intellectually with issues of difference, diversity, social justice, and alliance building! CRN 7301, 3 credits, W 3:30-6:20pm. PSY 319: Group Exploration! Personal growth and self-discovery course with a group of peers! CRN 6534,1 credit, T 12:30-1:20pm. and environmental factors that appear to contribute to the unique social behaviors of dogs. Dr. Monique Udell is an Assistant Professor of Animal Sciences at Oregon State University, where she directs the Human-Animal Interactions Lab.
