SuperShuttle San Francisco Operated in San Francisco metro area since 1985 Service agreement with SFO, OAK and SJC Fleet of (120) Ford E-350s, 3 ramp vans are gasoline powered 200 mile radius service area / 900K pax/year All franchises – most are double shift operations Vehicle life span of 4-5 yrs
Fueling Issues Fuel filters must be changed every 12,000 miles at cost of $45.00 parts and labor CNG tank inspections every 36,000 miles cost of $180 up to $275 each Substantial savings vs. gasoline, currently $2.39 per gallon equivalent vs $3.99 regular gas (COSTCO)
CNG FUEL STATIONS
Current Program/Impact 120 FORD E-350 vans currently in service Operators have a choice of 2 on-airport fuel stations one is CLEAN ENERGY and the other is TRILLIUM Operators are Leary of long distance runs if not familiar with location of CNG fuel stations at farthest point.
Future Plans 15 additional units to be added in 2014
