Nixon and Nam Peace takes with North Vietnam are stalled when Nixon takes office Nixon wants “Peace with Honor” Vietnamization of the war – replacing US troops with South Vietnamese troops.

Widening the war To stop the flow of supplies from North Vietnam, Nixon ordered secret bombings of the Ho Chi Minh trail in Cambodia He also ordered ground attacks on Vietcong bases in Cambodia. Antiwar protesters went crazy because this was expanding the war.
