Look who’s been working hard this half-term!

We have been learning about tenths, hundredths…even thousandths! Maths We can partition numbers into tens & units We can partition numbers into HTU in different ways. We are improving with our times tables. We have been learning to tell the time using minutes past. We have been learning to tell the time using the twenty-four hour clock. We can order numbers from hundreds of thousands to hundredths… and we can tell you why.

English Pow! Can you write your own questions? Can you use ! And …? We can! In our reading we found out about the Peanuts characters & made posters. Boom! We can choose our own characters and settings… We ‘ve been designing our own Comic Strips using everything we’ve learned since September.

We thought about our own feelings and created artwork to show this. We learned about the Bible story of the ten lepers and acted it out. Why did the lepers dance? We have been thinking about how people express their feelings through dance, music, drawings and paintings… We thought about our own feelings and created artwork to show this.

IF YOU DON’T KNOW, DON’T TOUCH! PSHE This is liver. It does an important job! We have also been learning about smoking and alcohol. Do you know how old you need to be to buy cigarettes? We looked carefully at a mixture of drugs (tablets, medicines etc), cleaning products and sweets. We learned that IF YOU DON’T KNOW, DON’T TOUCH!

Science Shake It! Bake It! We have learnt about solids, liquids & gases. We have found out how milk arrives in our fridge. We made bread rolls following the Little Red Hen’s recipe. We did the Great Bread Bake Off for the Harvest Festival!

We collected lots of food etc. for Urban Outreach! Harvest We had a Harvest Festival as the Entry Point for our whole school Food topic. We collected lots of food etc. for Urban Outreach!

We all made it to the top! Well done Peanuts Gang! Country File Ramble We really enjoyed being outdoors when we went up to Rivington Pike for our Children in Need Ramble. We all made it to the top! Well done Peanuts Gang!
