Questions to ask about job placement: % of people that are able to find employment after they complete the program? Do you provide services for job placement and if so for how long? ***Nearly all training offered at vocational schools can be done at a community college for a fraction of the cost***
If you’re going to a community college or vocational school… Research different college and program options Visit college campuses/programs Complete applications Decide what your goal is (AA degree, job training or transfer to a 4 year university- TAG) Find out when and where you can take your EAP exams Begin researching scholarship opportunities Request letters of recommendation for scholarships Meet with your counselor to make sure you’re on track to graduate Make sure you’re passing all classes

Important Things to Remember Do NOT use your school email when signing up for the FAFSA or Dream Act The FSA ID is NOT the FAFSA. It is only your electronic signature You will be emailed an access code. Check your email for directions moving forward If your parents do not have a SS#, you can still submit the FAFSA with their written signature
