EXEMPLARY ADMINISTRATION INNOVATIVE BUILDING TECHNIQUES First of all, we try to make our administration more circular replacing official cars by a pool of shared vehicles, collecting old cobblestones in order to reuse them taking actions to reduce food waste in schools and administrative restaurants, asking our gardeners to shred green waste and reuse it in our public gardens,   Most of these actions have already been implemented by our services. But making our administration more circular also implies to consider new processes: for instance by organizing reuse and recycling branches for our public agents work clothes another example of these new processes we could develop would be to insert circular requirements in our building work contracts.

In the last few years, we already have… planned the installation of a business incubator for circular economy and eco-design started the experimentation of a door to door separate collection service for biowaste promoted neighbourhood composting settled 10 « Ressourceries » developed the largest bike sharing service in the world (Velib’) compelled neighbourhood food markets to give unsold products to charities and give up plastic bags implemented the reuse of road work materials

Supporting key actors for change Future Headquarters of Envie, a social business 94 k used appliances sold yearly, 150 k tons of electrical waste collected 2500 employees, of which 2000 on social grounds http://freeganpony.com/ Rehabilitating unused storage facility under the Parisian ring road for a « zero waste » restaurant

Now is the time to scale up for a global change ! If we want to bring on a global change… … despite the existing barriers (square meter price, habits inertia) … we need to find new synergies and economic patterns ! Some examples : Large-scale hub for the collection of materials and small series production Database to identify available construction materials from demolition sites Guidebook for public purchasers Community organising and international outreach : #LesCanaux
