Political Cartoons Project

What Is A Political Cartoon? A political cartoon is an illustration containing political or social messages that usually relate to current events or personalities.

What Do I Do? Find 4 political cartoons created between 1870-1915 and 2 political cartoons created in the last year (September 2015-September 2016). You will have a cover page with your name, date due, class period, and title of your project You may decorate the cover page as you like Each of your 6 cartoons should have a page dedicated to it Each page will have a cartoon Each page should be numbered

Descriptions Under each cartoon you will have a descriptive paragraph that will include the following: The title of the cartoon The year it was published Who is being depicted? What message is being sent? What issue is being depicted? What is the author’s stance on the issue/what point is the author making? What visuals cue you to these answers? Is the cartoon effective? What is your opinion of the cartoon?
