Why does the earth have seasons
Why does the earth have seasons?
It take the earth 24hrs to spin around completely.
Days of the year. It takes 365 and ¼ days to do a full circuit around the sun.
Why we don’t have 365 and ¼ days The Reason we do not have 365 and ¼ days is because it would be impossible to have a ¼ day so we bank those ¼ days and then every 4th year we have a leap year with 366 days.
Earth’s axis and Day, night The earth has an axis of 23.5 degrees. While the earth rotates around, the sun hits each part of the earth at different times it makes day and night.
The seasons, days and weather The earth’s axis also means we will have different weather ( SEASONS ) e.g. Sunny side spring or summer, darker side autumn or winter. the hemisphere that is facing towards the sun that hemisphere will be in summer or spring. The hemisphere that is not will be in winter or autumn, the hemisphere that is in winter or autumn will also have shorter days because of the less sun light they will get, they will also have longer nights because they are facing away from the sun more. So there for the hemisphere that is facing towards the sun will have longer days with shorter nights because it is getting more sun.
