Unwrapping “Just Right” Topics Writing to a Prompt Unwrapping “Just Right” Topics

Prompt: Write about a time when you were afraid. The prompt is telling me to write about a time I felt scared. Step 1: Determine what the prompt is asking you to do.

Prompt: Write about a time when you were afraid. I was scared when I lost my cat, when I went to the dentist, and when I was the new kid at school. Step 2: Connect your expert topics and experiences to the prompt.

Prompt: Write about a time when you were afraid. My readers would like the story about the time I lost my cat. I felt scared, but I was happy to find her. Step 3: Choose a topic to interest your audience and share your message.
