Expectations Be on time. Be respectful Be ready for class. Have your supplies. Always do your best. Study, stay organized, and ask for help when you need it. Work Hard—Improve Everyday—Be Unselfish—Be the Best Follow all classroom, campus, and district rules.

Rules You shall not interfere with other students’ right to learn. You shall not interfere with the teacher’s right to teach. You will respect the property, privacy, and dignity of others. No cellphones, mp3 players, headphones, earbuds, or any other electronic device allowed in the classroom. Unless directed by the teacher for educational purposes. No charging of any electronic device at any time in the classroom. No food or drink in the classroom. (Except water in its original bottled container)

Grading Policy 50% Assignments/daily work/daily quizzes (minimum of 10 assignments per six- weeks) 50% Test Average (minimum of 3 tests per six-weeks) (including weekly tests, major tests, district common assessments, other types of assessments)

Test retake Policy Students are allowed to retake a test under the following guidelines: Have completed and turned in all assignments prior to the test. Participated in a re-teaching/relearning activity. Student are allowed to retest a failing test. Student must attend and complete corrections during tutorial period. Retest grade awarded will be a maximum of 70. Students will not be allowed to retake 6 Week tests, semester or final exams, or projects that require a cumulative process that lasts more than one day.

Test Correction/Point Recovery Policy Students may recover points from a lower passing test grade under the following guidelines: Have completed and turned in all assignments prior to the test. Must attend and complete corrections during tutorial period. Student is only allowed 50% of original point value per corrected question. Example: Original test point values 4 = corrected question value 2. Original grade = 72—Student corrects 7 questions—New grade = 86 Corrections must be completed within 2 days after test is returned. Students will not be allowed to correct 6 Week tests, semester or final exams.

Daily work corrections policy If you score below 70 on any daily assignment, then you are eligible to do corrections. Corrections are to be done on a separate sheet of notebook paper and attached to the original assignment and turned in directly to Mr. Pratt. You are to write the entire question and entire correct answer for the items you missed. Correct Example: 1) Who was president of the United States during the Civil War? C. Abraham Lincoln. Incorrect Example: 1) C. You will have 2 days after the assignment is returned to complete corrections. Special arrangements can be made on a case by case basis.

Absent work Policy When you are absent, you are missing valuable class time and are in danger of falling behind. When you return to school, it is your responsibility to ask your teachers for the assignments from the previous day. Ask Mr. Pratt about it.

Tutorial Policy Tutorials are a time for students to get extra help, take or retake a test, and/or to catch up. Morning Tutorials begin at 7:15 AM. Afternoon Tutorials begin at 3:20 PM. Make sure you arrive early to get the most out of your time. The only day that I am not available for Tutorials is Tuesday Morning, because of scheduled duty.
