How SB6 Works United Way convenes community leaders to determine the issues and develop solutions. The community is mobilized to take action and deliver results. Efforts are focused on: Increasing awareness about early childhood growth and development Improving access to critical health and human services while advocating for policy that supports all children. 11/20/2018

Making It Happen The School Board of DeSoto County located a bus and began renovations. We now have a family-friendly, air-conditioned, fully outfitted bus with a range of learning materials and resources. 11/20/2018
Funding Much of this has been made possible through generous contributions by the Bank of America Foundation, which granted more than $78,000 to the project. $12,000 in 2001; $46,000 in 2002; and an additional $20,000 in 2003. Bank of America is committed to kids. 11/20/2018
Off and Running Beginning in October 2002 the bus began making regular stops at childcare centers, local schools, churches and area businesses. 11/20/2018
