Storytelling Tips and Worksheet Exercise The effective use of personal stories requires careful thought and preparation. Keep it short! Write out your story in advance and practice Find one particular experience or anecdote that is powerful and bring your listener into that moment Know you legislator and tailor your story accordingly If you don’t feel comfortable sharing your story, please keep it anonymous.
