First of all I need to apologize for this last hour change about the place. This 6 month were a little bit hard for all of us. We’ve tried to find a a new way of being for this group. It’s not easy. The lack of participation is synonymous of lack of interest and is much more difficult to work like that. Nevertheless we think its worth. We have the most important issue to share and develop during the next two years, the citizen centric services. Our day will begin with the brief presentation of MTP. The meeting where it will be approved take place next 10 and 11 December. John Koostra will present us a proposal for a learning team. I think that is the first concrete proposal of the entire network. As usual our colleagues from the HRWG and IPSG will inform us about their work. The morning will end it with the presentation of Slovenia's Presidency priorities. The lunch will take place here in the hotel. The afternoon will be dedicated to the presentations of some best practices in the area of inclusive government. The first one is about the Portuguese support system for immigrants, a very successful initiative that had been recognized internationally. Farah will present us the recent results of a study developed in the UK related with contact centres. At least, Slovenia present their recent e-services. After, you have time enough to visit the Oceanário before dinner… Ticket office close – 18.00 h Exhibits close – 19.00 h

1st meeting - Conclusions The eGovernment Working Group: The importance of the informality of the group With the disappearance of eGov WG EUPAN looses knowledge and the direction of other subgroups eGov WG need to be more focused Transversal learning subgroups would be important More commitment of member states The themes for the next two years Top Theme of the group should be “Citizen Centric Services” Importance of transforming the BackOffices to achieve this main goal in collaboration of all members in sharing experiences and producing resolutions => work the 3 dimensions: processes, human resources and technology Identify how could countries understand the citizens needs (work together with IPSG) Benchmark of problems and identification of solutions In the DG Troika we had report our discussion concerning the future of egovernment working group. All DG’s approved the continuation of the group and considered the main theme proposed, citizen centric services, an important issue. We’ve tried to organize this meeting with interesting presentations already related with the themes chosen in the last meeting. I think we had sucess.
