Three Legs Culture Right Information At Time Collaboration Data Tools

Culture We need a culture that understands, values and supports the reporting and analysis environment at the enterprise level.

Culture Challenges People, politics and funding Urgent/unique needs from various demands Increasing workloads faced by the agencies The “Turf” issue for standard governance

Culture Challenges Shared responsibility – business and IT Tangible business values not demonstrated Enterprise solution taken time to implement Common good not realized in short period of time

Culture Opportunities/Demands POG (Priorities of Government) GMAP (Government Management & Accountability Performance) Roadmap Project Enterprise Architecture Initiatives

Culture Opportunities Chart of Account Project Grants, Contracts & Loans Management Enterprise System Project Adhoc Query Tool Project

Closing How do we work together to narrow or close the Enterprise and Agency Reporting gaps and provide the relevant data to our decision makers?

Summary We need legislature and executive support. We need your collaboration and cooperation. We need to leverage our opportunities and explore the possibilities.

Summary We need to take conscientious approaches with our data and/or systems. We need to maximize our strengths and values.

Summary Changes are difficult and they take time. Finding ways to overcome all the challenges takes creativity.

Summary We may need to give up “something” to meet the greater “common good”. It takes all of us to influence the culture!
