Project 9: Investigating User Benefits and Risks Associated with IoT Use REU Student: Joseph Prause Graduate mentors: Arup Ghosh and Neda Hajiakhoond Faculty Mentor(s): Dr. Wisniewski and Dr. Turgut Week 1 (June 10– June 16, 2017) Accomplishments: Completed 75% of a literature review focusing on the flaws of other mHealth and Telemonitoring systems Researched User Experience information with regards to usability by people with disabilities. Lose of eyesight, Parkinson's, etc. Created Wire Frames for GUI of CareBit focusing on both user experience and usability. Presented IoT devices to young adults for Camp Connect. Attending Poster Presentation workshop focusing on poster design and presentation skills utilizing scientific posters. Issues and Problems Expected literature review to be 1.5 pages, will end up being about 4-6 when complete. Wanted to use Zotero for Citation management; however, collaboration is easier under Google docs. Created system where we can easily insert Zotero Citations as we continue. Plans for next week: Continue revising literature review Move wireframes from Adobe Xd to Android Studios and work on transitions between multiple screens.
