Description The IACML’s mechanism for cooperation and technical assistance. Created by Ministries themselves. Goal: To strengthen the institutional and human capacities of Ministries of Labor (MOLs) Coordinated by the OAS Dept of Social Development and Employment (IACML Technical Secretariat) Priorities and activities: Set every two years by IACML authorities, based on ministerial mandates Funded currently by all Ministries of labor. Between 2006-2010 primarily by Canada
Outcomes Objective: To strengthen the human and institutional capacities of the Ministries of Labor Important results have been achieved in: Development of new products, services or programs Revision and improvement of programs in execution Design, modification or improvement of training activities Design, modification or improvement of internal processes Legislative or regulatory framework reform
