At this point, you should have completed these Self Study pre-requisites: Foundations of Programming: Object-Oriented Design (Lynda.com) Up and Running with Java (Lynda.com) Java Database Integration with JDBC (Lynda.com) Java Advanced Training (Lynda.com) – optional Java for COBOL Programmers (Safari Books Online) RDz for Java on zOS (MyLearning) And will have completed these Instructor Led courses: RDz 9.x Training Java Prep Course (4 hours) Java Course (4 half days)

What’s Next? Now, you must complete these final self study courses: Java Standards (MyLearning) Java Software Life Cycle (MyLearning) Java Skeleton Tool (MyLearning)

Congratulations! You’re trained! Let’s get to work: Work with your team to select a COBOL program to convert to Java OR Work with you team to come up with a new program to create in Java Submit your Java application to the Java Application Review (JAR) Committee SharePoint Attend a JAR meeting to review your application and get approval. Complete the Java Onboarding Process. Develop and test your program / job. Do Performance Benchmarks if needed. Get your program / job moved into QA and then PROD!
