Group work Due at Midnight What factor affects the temperature of a planet the most?

Creating a lab and writing procedures is not easy My goal is that it was hard If it was easy, you are a prodigy Nobody followed these: As I was going through those that are turned in, I noticed that very few of us listed out step by step instructions 1 group used all of the required vocab Still gave out points

Procedure Obtain one piece of 2-4 different types of gum from me. Each partner is responsible for one type Use the gum’s wrapper as a weighing boat so it doesn’t touch the scale Unwrap your sticks of gum (make sure you wash your hands first before touching the gum). Indicate the gum brand and flavor in the data table Place the wrapper on the electronic balance and push the “Zero” or “Tare” button. The reading on the scale should read “0.00g”. You will need to do this each time you weigh your gum Place your piece of unwrapped gum on the wrapper and record the mass in the data table (include units). Remove the gum and wrapper from the balance. Place gum in your mouth and chew for TWO minutes

Procedure Place gum in your mouth and chew for TWO minutes When the 2 minutes is up, place the gum between your teeth and suck it dry. (Again, think about why you want the gum to be dry?) Repeat steps 4-6 in order to determine its new mass Repeat until you have made 11 observations This means it goes till the 20 minutes mark Mark down which time period the gum lost its flavor during Please throw gum wrapper away after your last observation Make sure to record the masses of the other group members Find the change in mass and the percentage of the change in mass Create 2 graphs Answer questions from Canvas

Things to keep in mind!! We will finish post lab questions tomorrow, but all observations must be made today Stagger when you start chewing to every 30 seconds. That way everybody isn’t trying to use the scale at the same time Each time you weigh it, use the same wrapper Use timers on your phones. Focus on getting data for YOUR gum first, then you can copy down the data from others If you don’t want to chew gum, you don’t have to Please, Please, Please, be careful not to get gum everywhere. Please!

1st steps Complete Pre-Lab Questions on Canvas Choose 1 piece of gum different than others in your group Take the gum out of the wrapper and “zero out” the mass of the wrapper Record mass of your dry gum THEN start chewing for 2 minutes THEN start creating the table in your journal

Please do your best to not let my room look like this!!!
