A Small Job Don’t worry if your job is small and your rewards are few. Remember that the mighty oak was once a nut like you. Listen to version 1 of this song. Sing along. Sing along to version 2.

Vocabulary Melody – “A Small Job” is a song with a simple melody. When you hear a melody, you hear only one pitch at a time. Harmony can occur when two or more different pitches sound at the same time. Ostinato – a repeated rhythm or melody pattern.

Ostinatos for “A Small Job” 1 2 3 4 5 Each of these rhythms is a different ostinato; they will create harmonies when played along with “A Small Job.”
