Learning PowerPoint Just the basics

After you click on the PPT. Program your screen will look like this. Click on where it says “blank presentation”.

After you click on “blank presentation, your screen will look like this. Choose the bottom right blank if you want to start from scratch without a preset screen.

Now you are ready to start Now you are ready to start. You can decide which view you would like by clicking on the choices in the bottom left hand corner.

Now you are ready to start designing your slide show; If you want to enter a fancy title, click here on the blue A which is Word Art. This is the next screen you will have. Choose a design you like.

Type your title and hit ok.

Now your title is displayed Now your title is displayed. To make your title bigger, grab a corner square and drag it out. You can also adjust the shape and color of your title by using these buttons.

AutoShapes lets you can choose a shape you may want to have. Insert a picture here. Insert text here. Change colors here.

To change the background of your slides, click on the format button on your tool bar at the top of the page. A drop down menu will appear. Click on background. Choose the color you want that slide to be, or you may apply it to all of your slides. Slide show are more effective for the viewer if all the slides have the same background color.

One way to insert a picture is to go up to the Insert button on your tool bar. When it drops down, click on Clip Art. A quick step to clip art is clicking on the little picture on the bottom tool bar.

Here you can choose any pictures that you may want to include.
