Extra Credit* Autobiographical Book * You can earn from 0 to 5 points on your six weeks average for doing this extra credit. The number of points you earn will depend on how your final product looks as well as the amount of effort you put into it.

A Keepsake for someone special in your life… Begin your book with a dedication page of heartfelt thanks to a parent, guardian or grandparent.

The creative process… You will include, one per page, a word which describes you from A-Z. Then use the word in a complete sentence. Finally, add photos.

For Example… Athletic Beautiful Thanks to all of your encouragement, I became athletic at a young age! Beautiful My beautiful spirit is surpassed only by my love of life!

Don’t forget… Make your sentences worthy of a senior in high school. Each complete sentence should explain who you are NOW!

Don’t forget the photos… No computer clip art or magazine photos (unless they are of you). You may use current photos, childhood photos, anything which seems to represent the word of description and apply to the sentence. Feel free to scan in your pictures if you are not comfortable with taking them from home.

It’s like a scrapbook… The book itself may be done on the computer or by hand; however, each page MUST be illustrated. You can purchase any kind of paper, sticker, etc to embellish your pages. You can use any sized album, paper or pre-made book you would like.

The book… You can start with a journal or photo album if you like, but pay attention to the number of pages available for you to use. Don’t find out at the end that there weren’t enough pages. Please bind your book in some way; do not use staples.

Your cover… The cover must also be illustrated and include your full name. If this is not possible, use the inside of the front cover.

We will mail these… Bring your bound book to class on its due date IN an UNSEALED, STAMPED, SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE or BOX. Remember, postage will depend on the size and weight of your book.

Very Important… Due date: on or before May 23 No late books accepted No books accepted without the proper envelope and postage.

Don’t worry… We will mail these home to your parents once they have been graded. But, no, you may not just deliver it yourself.

Remember… Neatness and appropriateness will be a major consideration when evaluated.
