2017 Updates Interisland Circuit Upgrades R&E Network Upgrades SDN Based Layer2 Tunnels IPv6

Interisland New 200Gbps wavelengths from Oceanic Native 40Gbps between islands Sharing the 200Gbps with ETS for redundancy

R&E Network 100Gbps to US West Coast & Guam 2 x 100G & 10 x 10G between DRF and UH Manoa over Oahu INET UH GigaPOP will be upgraded to 100Gbps

SDN Layer 2 Tunnels SDN / OVS based Layer 2 GRE Tunnels Inexpensive Linux server end points In use by UHWO, HCC, multiple Manoa sites L2 transport across the UHNet

IPv6 Annual reminder that IPv6 is here and you need to be using it. Dual Stack works just fine Testing IPv6 Only networks using NAT64
