Faculty Raise Process FY08 Total raise pool: ~4% State appropriations raise pool: ~3% Supplemental pool from departmental sources and Chancellor: ~1% awarded to up to 25% of faculty, as recommended by Chairs

FY09 Salary Strategy & Timeline Projected raise pool: 4% ~3% from State appropriations 1% from University sources ‘3+1’ distribution: 3% from department reviews, 1% from admin. reviews Supplemental pool from departmental and admin sources P&T raises, market consideration, etc.

FY09 Salary Strategy & Timeline April 22nd- Raise worksheets to department chairs 3% pool to all departments May 23rd- Raise worksheets from Academic Depts. to VPAA/Budget for spreadsheet accuracy review Administration Depts. worksheets due May 5th June 3rd- Verified worksheets to Provost & Chancellor Departmental recommendations for 1% holdback 25% of faculty and staff are eligible June 15th- Final S&W decisions reported to Chairs & Directors June 30th- Complete the notification process (Target dates)
