More Than You Can Imagine The Father’s Love More Than You Can Imagine Matthew 7:7-12
Matthew 7:7-12 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 7:7-12 9 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
Matthew 7:7-12 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
Father Is the primary way Jesus refers to God. We may need to redeem the concept.
Father “Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.” Psalm 27:10 “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.” Psalm 68:5
“Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil . . .” Matthew 7:9
Matthew 12:11-12 “He said to them, "If any of you has a sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will you not take hold of it and lift it out? 12 How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath."”
Luke 12:24 “Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!”
Father Father God is superior because: He is all-knowing. He is all powerful. He is absolutely good.
The Heart of Father God God is generous. God craves a relationship with you.
The Heart of Father God Galatians 3:26 “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 4:6 “Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father."”
Two Applications 1. _Pray_ boldly and often. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8
