Risk Management

What is Risk? Risk can be defined as any exposure to possible loss. The Church Board is to ensure that the church is protected from undue exposure that may lead to damage of lives and property and the risk of litigation. It must therefore be able to identify, assess and manage varying types of risks.

Some Areas of Risk to Guard Against Unfinished Construction Risks a. Nails and sharp objects b. Open trenches and gutters c. Unprotected lumber, steel and other construction materials d. Construction equipment e. Other relevant risks under this section

Guard Cont’d Furniture and Equipment Risks a. Faulty or broken benches and chairs b. Computers and electrical equipment of the church c. Other relevant risks under this section Information Risks a.
