Summer Just like in Taiwan, the U.S. gets very hot, so during this season, girls and boys wear short sleeved clothing to cool off.

Fall It starts to rain during this season, so people bring umbrellas. Luckily, the wind here is not as strong as in Taiwan, so our umbrellas don’t break. Raincoats and boots are also common. Dogs wear them too

Winter By the time the fall has passed completely, people have to wear much warmer clothes. In the area I live it rains a lot but it doesn’t snow.

Coast The edges of America are called the coast. They are near the sea, so the weather is always cool and windy.

Desert These regions are spread out in America. They are usually hot and always very dry

Mountains Some parts of America are high, and they are very cold It snows a lot in these areas. The biggest mountain area is the left side of America, called the Rocky Mountains.

Giving Thanks Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November, so the date changes depending on the year. As the name of this holiday implies, Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks to those around you. People also get a few days off from work and school to take a break.
