What is My Role? Are you a statistician? No? Then dont try to be one. Be the best librarian you can be Data queries are not that different than literature queries. Ref Interview! Learn from your colleagues about disciplinary archives and commercial data sources. How far you take the patron is up to you.

Patron Queries Assessing the question: – Who/where/what/how long? – What is the patrons skill-level? Raw Data – Stat package ready? ASCII files? Aggregators – Free vs. Fee? Government data, pretty easy to grab Private sector data, not always so easy to grab
