Copy the following poem in your notes. Beauty By E-Yeh_Shure’s Beauty is seen In the sunlight, The trees, the birds, Corn growing and people working Or dancing for their harvest Beauty is heard In the night. Wind sighing, rain falling, Or a singer chanting Anything in earnest. Beauty is in yourself. Good deeds, happy thoughts That repeat themselves In your dreams, In your work, And even in your rest.

Read the title. Make a prediction about the subject of the poem. Assignment Choose a theme. Write a poem that is at least 3 stanzas long. Each stanza must have at least 4 lines. You will share your poem with a partner. You must each create the theme graphic organizer that determines the theme of each poem.
