Materials:. properly soak floral foam in a single design bowl Materials: * properly soak floral foam in a single design bowl *tape with water proof tape See the thumb mark, be gentle with your foam!!!

Preparing the Greens The purpose of greening in is to develop the size and style of your arrangement and cover the floral foam. It is easier to cover all floral foam and not cover flowers if you green in first.

To do a great job greening in… Cut the stems at an angle which makes it easier to insert and exposes more of the cambium layer for more water absorption.

The inserted portion of the stem should be free of leaves

The stems should be inserted in the oasis at least 1-2 inches deep.

Use all materials and do not be wasteful!!! Follow the cutting policy. Cut the fern in usable sections rather than tearing off pieces to get the green to the desired smaller size. Use a variety of sizes, but avoid using all small pieces.

Do not over green. Leave room for flowers!

Rotate your arrangement when greening so it is balanced. We want this Not this!
