Transportation Headlines Road Opening Prince William Parkway (Hoadly Road - Old Bridge Road) Project complete and open to traffic Project completed on schedule August 31, 2011

University Boulevard PPTA (Prince William Parkway to Sudley Manor Drive) Accomplishments Hornbaker Road design has been completed and approved by VDOT University Boulevard design has been submitted for approval Issues R-O-W negotiations with adjacent developments Timeline Some construction to begin late this Fall with majority starting in Spring 2012 Construction to be substantially complete by end of November 2013

University Boulevard PPTA (Prince William Parkway to Sudley Manor Drive)

Route 1 – Joplin to Bradys Hill Accomplishments Utility relocation is complete Installation of storm drain is 97% complete, sanitary sewer and waterline are 100% complete Box culvert crossing Route 1 is approx. 35% complete Earthwork activities on south-bound lane of Route 1 for Phase I have been completed Phase II construction grading work is complete Traffic is switched for Phase II on northbound lane to install new sections of box culvert Issues Temporary lane closures during non rush hours Timeline Construction scheduled completion June of 2012

Route 28 (Linton Hall Road to Fitzwater Drive) Accomplishments Design has initiated with survey work underway First design coordination meeting for realigned Vint Hill Rd. held in March 2011 Public Hearing Plan submitted to VDOT for review Issues Project construction phasing to expedite completion Project Funding Impacts to septic fields Timeline Citizen information meeting tonight at 7:00 pm at Nokesville Elementary Public Hearing planned for January 2012 Anticipated Final Plans for VDOT review – February 2012 Construction Advertisement for Phase I (Linton Hall Road to Realigned Vint Hill Road) anticipated for August 2012

Fuller Rd./Fuller Heights Rd. (Quantico Marine Corps Base Entrance) Accomplishments Environmental Categorical Exclusion (CE) document approved by VDOT and FHWA Public hearing on project was held on May 18, 2011 Utility Field Inspection (UFI) meeting was held on April 18, 2011 BOCS approved project design on July 26, 2011 County has submitted package to VDOT for design approval Coordination meeting held with Marine Corps Base Quantico (MCBQ) on August 16, 2011 Issues Maintenance of traffic during construction Possible design waivers R-O-W and easement request from MCBQ Timeline Drainage and floodplain comments to be sent to VDOT in October 2011 R-O-W authorization from VDOT anticipated by December 2011

Telegraph Road Commuter Lot Accomplishments Final plans for Phase I (Commuter Lot) have been approved by VDOT Final design for Phase II (Telegraph Road) initiated and submitted to VDOT for review $7.2 M in funding from the State available for project construction of both phases Issues Right-of-Way Acquisition for and additional lane requirements for Telegraph Road Improvements Coordinate with adjacent developers Timeline Construction advertisement for lot – mid-October 2011 Construction for the lot anticipated to begin – late Fall 2011 Final R-O-W plan approval for road improvements – November 2011 Construction advertisement for road improvements – Late Spring 2012

Prince William Parkway (Old Bridge Road to Minnieville Road) Accomplishments Plans completed by AMT and design-build documents for RFP being prepared for advertisement NEPA environmental documentation anticipated to be Categorical Exclusion (CE) Issues Improvements to Parkway/Hillendale Intersection Timeline Advertise RFP for design-build – December 2011

Rollins Ford Road Accomplishments Issues Timeline Traffic signal design and transition design plans approved by VDOT Construction on transition and conversion of two lane section to four lane section between Estate Manor Drive and Linton Hall Road underway Signal plans approved, IFB for construction is in review Issues Coordination with Park during roadway construction Timeline Construction of signal and transition to be completed late fall, 2011 Design completion for Rollins Ford Road extension anticipated by Summer 2012
