National English Honor Society September 2nd Welcome to our first official meeting!

Membership Fees $10 for new members You have until next Friday, September 9th to turn in your fees Turn them in to Mrs. Munoz in room 2318

Meetings Meetings will be held on the first Friday afternoon of every month at 2:30 A makeup meeting will be held on the following Monday morning at 6:45 Members must attend all meetings but will be allowed to miss one per semester

Membership Requirements Members must: Have an 80 or above in AP or Pre-AP English classes Have a 90 or above in regular English classes Have a passing grade in all classes

Service Hour Requirements 10 service hours per semester (5 inside and 5 outside) Inside hours must be English or NEHS related Must complete 1 service project per semester (there will be one every month)

Probation You will be given a probation letter if you fail to meet membership or service hour requirements In order to get off probation, you must write a 250 word explanation letter describing why you failed to meet requirements and complete 5 additional service hours.

Flock Party Sign Up Sign ups start now and last through next week until Friday, September 9th The sign up sheet will be in Mrs. Munoz’s room Sign up is first come, first serve There will be after school opportunities in the week before Flock Party to get hours.
