Workstation Tips Simple tips to help you use your computer comfortably.

The Chair Feet rest flat on the floor - use a footrest if needed Adjust chair so that thighs are horizontal Backrest supports lower back

The Monitor Ensure the monitor screen is clean Position the monitor to reduce glare and reflections Top of screen is at or below eye level Position monitor at right angle to windows

The Desktop Organise equipment & frequently used items within reach – no twisting or reaching

Posture Head not excessively bent over or forward Keep wrists in neutral position Shoulders relaxed and comfortable - no slouching Elbows parallel to keyboard

Laptops Use a docking station with standard keyboard, mouse and monitor Use a laptop stand Keep your display screen clean
