Your media portfolio Use the need you identified in your media portfolio Turn that need into a solvable problem Write a grant with a specific set of goals, a budget, and a timeline
You will be researching-- The cause of the of the problem The solutions that have been tried. What is being done currently. How your proposal will help the problem. Data to back up your claims USE THE SHEET PROVIDED TO TAKE NOTES ON YOUR RESEARCH

Sample grant proposal Carefully examine the sample grant Identify: The sections of the grant The type of information contained in the section The type of language used to complete that section The level of creativity vs. fact in that section The length of each section
In your Small Groups You will divide and conquer The tasks include— An abstract Statement of need Program description A “literature” review/resource description References Program objectives A description of key personnel Project timeline and budget
