This event is meant to be showcase how to come together to promote the common good. Marches are happening all all 50 states, many US territories and on 6 continents. This is a grassroots effort by women of all backgrounds, races, religions, ages and abilities, as well as communities of immigrants, people of color, and people who identify as LGBTQIA. This isn’t a protest--it’s a march of unity and solidarity. This movement is larger and more powerful than one policy or one person.

For some, this has been a lifelong fight for equality, for some this past election year caused them to take action. Everyone has a different story, but the reason is that we are united on equal rights for everyone and that is what is most important. Q: Why are you protesting Trump? A: This is a march. We wanted an action that everyone could take. From this we hope that we are more aware and united so people continue to take action in supporting equal rights.
