Child Soldiers Evaluative Response Directions: Complete one of the following written responses. Your response should be a minimum of two pages (front and back of sheet). Imagine yourself as a child soldier in Africa. Describe your experiences and discuss how these impacted your life. Write a personal response to the information. Be descriptive about how the information and pictures made you feel about the use of child soldiers in Africa and around the world. Write a letter to a government leader in Africa asking them to stop using child soldiers. Your letter should include reasons why they should stop using child soldiers and possible ways to solve the country’s internal conflicts (other than war or using child soldiers). Write a letter to the United Nations (UN) asking them to help end the use of child soldiers in Africa and other areas around the world. Your letter should include a description of the problem (child soldiers) and possible ways that the UN could convince, or even force countries to stop using child soldiers.
