Homework Review Hearing a loud noise, we ran to the window. The motorcyclist was fatally injured in the accident and is now fighting for his life. He ruined his sight by watching TV all day. We saw a clown standing on his head 5. Asking questions is a whole lot easier than answering them.

Homework Review Two Waving their hands, the audience cheered the winner. Plucking flowers is forbidden. Jumping over the fence, the thief escaped. I was surprised at John’s being absent. 10. We spent the whole day playing cards.

Opening- What do these pictures have in common?

Opening- The Hero’s Journey The hero's journey forms the basic template for all great stories. Described at length in Joseph Campbell's The Hero with a Thousand Faces The hero's journey serves as the tale every culture tells. The journey's path is described variously, but in general it includes the call to adventure, a supernatural aide or mentor, initiation by trials and adventures, victory, and return. Its universality can easily be seen in fairy tales and other traditional tales, as well as in such popular culture offerings as J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy and George Lucas' Star Wars

Task: Research the Hero’s Journey Get and IPad. Use the links provided on the classroom blog. In your journal, create an organizational blueprint of the hero’s journey. Identify the stages and give examples. Be creative. Remember the Standard: Include formatting (e.g., headings), graphics (e.g., charts, tables), and multimedia when useful to aiding comprehension.
