What is State Preschool Program The focus is on giving children access to rich integrated education from fully credentialed teachers and highly trained aides Designed for 3, 4 & 5 year olds Classroom environment are developmentally appropriate, safe and nurturing Students develop problem solving, critical thinking skills, foundational skills that promote lifelong learning. 15 classrooms at the following sites - Bayview; Chavez; Dover; Downer; Ford; Grant; Highland; King; Montalvin; Murphy; Nystrom; Peres; Riverside; Washington & Wilson

What is (TK) – Transition Kindergarten Program First year of a two-year Kindergarten program Implements a modified Kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate Focus on development of social emotional; literacy, math & science skills that promotes school as well as life success. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Some of the professional development required for all Early Learning Staff- Classroom Assessment Scoring System ( CLASS) Teaching Pyramid ( promotes social emotional development) Environmental Rating Scale (ECER’s) Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP 2015)- based on observation and use of developmental Continuum from Early Infancy to Kindergarten level
