SmartFindExpress from eSchool Solutions Update for the Board 2-14-12

SmartFindExpress (SFE) SFE allows teachers to report their pending absences by phone or by going to a website. The system will then arrange their substitute for them. All district employees will use SFE to report their absences, even if they do not require a substitute.

Advantages of SFE Teachers now phone the contact at their school to report an absence. The school contact phones a substitute. Someone at the school manually enters the absence and the information about the substitute for pay purposes. Our payroll department makes sure the information has been entered. Now that will all be done automatically, saving time and effort.

Status of Implementation We have trained the school secretaries. We are about half way through registering every district employee. We are conducting workshops in every area of the county to help substitutes register. The “go live” date is tentatively set for Tuesday, March 6.
