When does my certification expire? Expires on the last day of the month, 3 years following your date of expiration Example: Certification Date- 6/15/2013 Expiration Date- 6/30/2016 Can recertify up to 9 months prior Email Reminders Sent at 6 months prior, 3 months prior, 1 month prior Sent to professional email provided at time of application
What happens once my certification expires? Timeline: Within 30 days of expiration date, may be reinstated via the typical renewal process Following 30 days past expiration date, must reapply and sit for the exam Removal from: LinkedIn Group Professional List on APSE Website Removal from email list, CESP-specific publications such as the quarterly newsletter Required to discontinue all use of “CESP” in all forms Digital certificate will be deleted
What are the Requirements for CE Credits? 36 CE Credits are required to maintain the CESP™ certification 1 CE credit is equivalent to 1 hour of clock time (except as noted) Documentation which verifies the reported number of CE credits must be submitted with the recertification application All documentation is subject to audit by ESPCC Repeated CE activities/content will not be counted for credit within the same 3-year recertification cycle. All CE activities must be directly related to ESP content.
How do I know if my CE Activity is Acceptable? Check two things: Is it listed as a acceptable activity on the Requirements for Continuing Education Form? Does that activity include the knowledge and skills defined by the Content Outline? Both documents are available for download at apse.org
