Chi-Squared test AP Biology
Learning objective Apply the chi squared test using the Dice experiment. *Essential Question: How can we analyze results of experiments and when do we accept hypothesis or reject it?
NULL HYPOTHESIS: The hypothesis is termed the null hypothesis which states That there is NO difference between observed and expected values.
Examples of null hypothesis Tomato plants exhibit a higher rate of growth when planted in compost rather than in soil. Null hypothesis: H0: Tomato plants do not exhibit a higher rate of growth when planted in compost rather than soil.
Chi Squared FORMULA:
Chi-squared analysis helps us to Know if our null hypothesis is accepted or rejected. Know if the collected data is by chance or the variables are affecting it.
